Capt. Tony's building was used as the first morgue on the island. The coroner buried his daughter under the floor in what is now the pool room. She is still there!

The tree growing inside the
bar was the official Key West "Hanging Tree"..... 75 people were hanged from that tree. The tombstone at it's base does not mark a real grave

Capt. Tony's is reported to be haunted. Legend has it, that one of the executed,a woman accused of killing her husband and child, can be seen frequenting the bar, wearing the same nightgown in which she was hanged.
